Minimum Age and Requirements:  Applicants who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have not received a high school diploma, or high school equivalency certificate may test. Before testing is allowed, applicants who are sixteen (16) or seventeen (17) years of age must present a withdrawal slip from the last school attended in Alaska. Applicants must also submit legal emancipation documentation or written permission from a parent or guardian to take the tests. Documentation is to be presented to the Kodiak Regional ABE Program.

TESTING:  GED® tests are $30.00 each. To test, you must do the following:

1. Go to www.ged.com and register for an account.

2. During September through mid-May you are welcome to join our Kodiak College Adult Education Program and take a free GED® Ready practice test, after registering with us.  We provide and assist you with free study materials and information, if needed.

3. Otherwise, if you want to work on your own and GED® test:  sign in to your www.ged.com account and schedule your test by selecting the Kodiak College Testing Center, and look for available dates. Testing availability may be limited during the summer. Read all testing information carefully to learn about cancellation and refund policies, and other test tips.
