Kathleen is a small business owner and has worked in business and economic development since moving to Ouzinkie several years ago. She enjoys writing and is driven to promote the educational needs of rural students across Alaska.  She is actively involved in her community as a current member of the Ouzinkie City Council and the Southwest Alaska Municipal Conference (SWAMC). Kathleen is married with two young children and loves spending time with her family and going out on their boat.

She possesses a BA in Psychology and has worked in behavioral intervention and residential treatment and has developed teaching materials for youth and young adults with learning and mental disabilities. She hopes to continue working with others from around the state to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for our youth.
