Adam McGuffie

Adam McGuffie former Kodiak College Student

Adam McGuffie took his first courses through Kodiak College in 2004 while he was in high school. He took a combination of dual credit high school courses and college general studies courses during his junior and senior years of high school. Following high school, he took an additional year at Kodiak College to work on general education requirements. Adam went on to earn a BA in Music from the University of Vally Forge in Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity from George Fox University in Oregon.

Intro College Writing, with Lisa Polito, was his favorite course at Kodiak College. Adam remembers "passing that class was harder than earning the rest of his Bachelor's degree" and that "she taught me skills that I use every day." .
Currently, Adam works as an instructional designer for George Fox University and does creative photography and web design projects on the side.

Adam remembers going to a large classroom with a grand piano tucked into the corner to play whenever he had the chance. Adam says “Kodiak College opened up an entire world of imagination. It is an incredibly special place.”
