Kodiak College and Career Fair Returns to the Island with Big Opportunities

After several years away, the Kodiak College and Career Fair is making a dynamic return to the island, and it’s bigger than ever. The event will take place on Saturday, October 11, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Kodiak College, bringing together 45+ vendors for a day packed with opportunity, connection, and community.

Visitors can explore booths from colleges and universities across Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Utah, Idaho, and Colorado, as well as recruiters from the U.S. military and local organizations offering employment and training opportunities. Whether you’re a high school student planning your future, a current Kodiak College student exploring transfer options, or a job seeker looking for your next step, there’s something for everyone.

“This isn’t just for prospective college students,” event organizer Ellen Carty emphasized. “It’s for anyone looking to take the next step - high school students planning for the future, current Kodiak College students exploring transfer options, or community members searching for job opportunities.”

In addition to meeting recruiters and admissions representatives, attendees can take part in free workshops on resume writing and interviewing skills, designed to help participants stand out in competitive job and college application processes. Prizes and drawings throughout the day add even more fun and excitement.
