Student Emergency Fund Eligibility Extended

The University now has additional funding available for students that have experienced COVID19 related financial hardships that have occurred since December 27, 2020. Students that received an award prior to February 13, 2021, are eligible to re-apply. For more information visit UAA's student emergency fund page

To be considered for assistance from the UAA Student Emergency Fund, individuals must currently be:

  • Admitted to a UAA degree program
  • Registered for courses through one of UAA’s campuses
  • Making meaningful progress toward earning a degree
  • Experiencing financial hardship resulting from an emergency, accident or other unplanned major life event
  • In relatively good behavioral standing with the university

Examples of Assistance

The UAA Student Emergency Fund can be used to assist students with unanticipated and temporary financial hardships.

Examples the fund may assist with include:

  • Required travel due to loss or serious illness of a family member or other emergency
  • Emergency health care, medication, food or housing
  • Course materials or technology
  • Tuition and fees
