Steel Welding & Metal Fabrication: WELD A190
James Selkirk Mondays 7pm-10:20pm at Kodiak Industrial Arts Building (CRN 77155)
This 3-credit course allows students to create a metal product of their choice using
various metal fabrication tools and equipment commonly found in a welding shop. This
includes access to our CNC Plasma Cutting table and design software.

Students will design and construct a trailer using the Gas Metal Arc Welding process.
Project includes mild steel and aluminum.
Gas Metal Arc Welding: WELD A160 (CRN 75396)

Introduces the Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) process and techniques for students interested
in wire-feed welding.

Students develop skills and experience in the Shielded Metal Arc Welding process. This course prepares students for the AWS D1.1 Certification Test offered at the end of the semester.
