Biography

Dr. Suzanne Buie, DPT, STC has worked at the University of Alaska, Kodiak College since 2005. She is currently the Department Chair of the Health Sciences Department which includes Medical Coding, teaching courses in support of the Allied Health field, and overseeing the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. She teaches distance education courses to include: BIOLA111 and BIOLA112 (Anatomy and Physiology I and II), Medical Terminology, and various other courses when student need arises. Expertise

Dr. Buie has worked in varied clinical settings for 20 years with a specialty in Sports and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. Other fields of study include Neurology, Pediatrics, Women's Health, and Chronic Pain Syndromes. Dr. Buie has worked on cutting-edge grants to include Robotics and Microscopy, serves on a Health Care Technology Advisory Board, has published work through the American Physical Therapy Association, and various keynote speaker engagements regarding Best Practices in Distance Education.
