Biography

Dr. Mark Schreiter holds a Ph.D. from the University of Idaho and specializes in Environmental and Native American History of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.  An associate professor of history and humanities, Mark serves as head of the Kodiak College humanities department and teaches a wide variety of courses in that discipline.  He has long balanced his academic career with an outdoor life spent working as a wilderness ranger and forest fire lookout, always accompanied by his Great Pyrenees dogs.
