Complete CHEM A103 & A104 in One Semester
Meet your Allied Health Chemistry Degree prerequisites with more intensive learning in less time. National research demonstrates that when students are exposed to information more often, as in an 8-week accelerated approach, they are more successful than students in a traditional 16-week semester (Deichert et al., 2016).
Starting in the Fall of 2023, Kodiak College will offer CHEM A103 Introduction to General Chemistry for the first 8 weeks and CHEM A104 Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry in the following 8 weeks. These chemistry courses will be offered Monday - Thursday from 4-5:15 pm, face-to-face on the Kodiak Campus and via Zoom.
Students may wonder if they can take both 8-week and 16-week classes at the same time. The answer is yes, yet we highly encourage you to meet with your academic advisor to properly schedule a 16/8-week combination that will set you up for success.
