Kodiak College Thanks Ginny Shank and Pam Foreman

Kodiak College Honors Longtime Advisory Council Members Ginny Shank and Pam Foreman

Kodiak College extends its deep appreciation to Ginny Shank and Pam Foreman, who are stepping down from the Kodiak College Advisory Council after many years of dedicated service to the college and the community.

Both Shank and Foreman leave behind a legacy of leadership and steadfast support. Pam Foreman has worked with three different college directors during her time on the council, providing insight, guidance, and continuity during periods of growth and transition. Ginny Shank’s contributions to Kodiak College stretch across decades and leadership eras, including her work with former directors Carolyn Floyd and Carol Hagel. Her commitment has shaped much of the college’s development throughout its history. Pam Foreman and Ginny Shank

Current Kodiak College Director Jacelyn Keys expressed her gratitude for their service:

“These two remarkable women have not only guided me as I’ve led the college - they have guided the institution itself. Through COVID-19, through low enrollment, and through the many challenges of recent years, Ginny and Pam have offered historical perspective, community wisdom, and unwavering support. I will miss seeing them at Advisory Council meetings, but I am so thankful for their leadership and for their friendship.”

The Advisory Council plays a critical role in connecting Kodiak College to the broader Kodiak Island community, and both Shank and Foreman have exemplified what it means to serve with purpose and care. Their departure marks the end of a significant chapter for the council, and their impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Kodiak College extends deepest thanks and best wishes to both Ginny Shank and Pam Foreman as they step away from their formal roles.
