A Year of Growth and Impact

This past year was a transformative one for Student Government. Shifting from an event-based club to an initiative-driven organization, SGA has laid the foundation for long-lasting student support programs. Some of this year's accomplishments include:

  • Student Food Pantry Support: Providing and stocking food for students.
  • Sexual Health Initiative: Supplying sexual health and period products in campus bathrooms.
  • Engaging Campus Events: Hosting the Halloween Spooky Stone Hunt, costume contest, and Stress Less for Success finals week activities.
  • Emergency Student Grant Fund: Establishing financial assistance for students facing unexpected challenges.
  • SGA Scholarship: Creating a scholarship through the Kodiak College Foundation to support transitional and dual credit students.
  • Mental Health Advocacy: Setting the groundwork for future mental health counseling services for students.

Being a part of Student Government at Kodiak College is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the student experience at Kodiak College. Don’t miss your chance to get involved and make a meaningful impact!

Apply today, and we’ll see you at interviews on April 17th!
