Biography
Elise teaches Medical Terminology in the Spring and Summer semesters for the Department
of Health Sciences at Kodiak College. She is also the Nursing Resource Center Coordinator
for the UAA School of Nursing and manages the school's nursing skills labs, including
14 outreach labs in rural areas around the state. She also participates in the development
and facilitation of healthcare simulations for the School of Nursing. Elise has worked
as a RN since 2007 in various fields of nursing, including mental health, specialty
practice, primary care, and outpatient settings. She earned her Master of Science
in Nursing Education degree in 2014. Outside of work, Elise enjoys spending time in
the outdoors and beauty of Alaska with her husband and two young daughters.
