Mission Statement
The Department of Health Sciences offers a variety of human science, biological, occupational, and certificate programs to prepare students to succeed and be equipped for further studies in many health care professions. We employ a problem-solving approach model. Students are taught the basic principles of scientific facts and theories regarding the human animal. They learn the ability to analyze data or a problem, generate possible solutions, implement a plan, and assess the outcome. With these skills, they are able to incorporate scientific fact with patient care. Most of our teaching professionals maintain outside employment in their field of specialty and are able to share not only their knowledge but clinical expertise.
